BWD Strategic is hiring for a position of Graphic Designer in New York City, NY Remote

We are looking for an experienced freelance designer to support our team with sustainability reporting design throughout 2025. The role involves creating visually compelling and professional design materials that effectively communicate sustainability data and narratives. This is a 6 month project requiring approximately 20 hours per week. Opportunity for extension available.

Responsibilities:

• Typesetting and layout design for sustainability reports

• Designing infographics, charts, and data visualizations to communicate complex sustainability metrics

• Creating visually engaging illustrations and icons in line with our brand identity

• Formatting documents to meet brand and design guidelines

• Collaborating with the internal team to iterate on report visuals and layouts

Requirements:

• Proven experience in sustainability or corporate reporting design (e.g., annual reports, ESG reports)

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design tools

• Strong portfolio showcasing layout design, typesetting, and data visualization skills

• Ability to work within brand guidelines while bringing creative ideas to the table

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines for multiple iterations

• EST / MST / PST timezone

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with ESG or sustainability-related content

• Familiarity with PowerPoint design and presentation enhancements

• Motion graphics or animation skills (for digital report assets)

• Experience with interactive PDFs or digital-first reporting formats
