Internal parasitism control in small ruminants:Scope of Work:  

1) investigate interrelationships between host animal and internal parasites;2) investigate alternative medicines to control internal parasites;3) manipulate host immunity to diminish parasitism in goats.

Qualifications and Experience: 

PhD in Animal Science, Veterinary, or Biology. Demonstrated capabilities in conducting internal parasitology experiments and cellular/molecular laboratory analyses, data handling, statistical analyses, data interpretation, and preparation and presentation of scientific reports are needed. Capacity to work cooperatively with others is required.

Meat science in ruminants:Scope of Work:

2) General meat science in ruminant animals;2) Animal meat products development, assessment, and processing;3) Improvement of meat quality by means of feeding or breeding.

Qualifications and Experience: 

PhD in Animal Science, Biology, or a related field. Demonstrated capabilities in conducting meat science experiments and cellular/molecular laboratory analyses, data handling, statistical analyses, data interpretation, and preparation and presentation of scientific reports are needed. Capacity to work cooperatively with others is required.

Animal nutrition and physiology in small ruminants:Scope of Work:  

3.)To determine appropriate conditions for conducting research with a portable calorimetry system used with groups of small ruminants in natural settings such as on pasture. Studies include usage of stationary, individual animal, indirect open-circuit respiration calorimetry system to determine climate change effect on animal production.

Qualifications and Experience: 

PhD in Animal Nutrition, Physiology, or a related field. Strong research background in small ruminant nutrition. Capabilities in conducting animal nutrition experiments and associated laboratory analyses, data handling, statistical analyses, data interpretation, and preparation and presentation of scientific publications. Capacity to work cooperatively with others is required.
